The SAM ® SPLINT is built from a thin core of aluminium alloy, sandwiched between two layers of closed-cell foam. The SAM ® SPLINT is extremely pliable. Bent into any of three simple curves, it becomes extremely strong and supportive for any fractured or injured limb.

How It Work

The reason is curved surface physics, which allows skyscrapers and bridges to be erected with I-beams and hollow columns instead of hefty steel pillars. Flat sheet metal bends easily, but when shaped into structural curves, it becomes hard. For SAM® SPLINT splinting, you simply need three basic curves. These may turn a SAM® SPLINT into a canoe paddle or snow shovel. This inch is perfect for splinting.

SAM® SPLINT is soft enough to cut with household scissors and easily moldable. Using the training guide's recommended curves, practically any bone can be splinted. The SAM® SPLINT can be used to make an emergency neck collar.
